If you use your car all the time and your life and business depend on it, you must learn how to change tires. And never leave without some spare. If this is quite impossible for you to, check the condition of your tires before leaving at least. Doing so will save you from the unfortunate event of being stuck on the road helpless.
Check your brakes as well. You wouldn't want it misbehaving when you're running over 100 mph. This incident can be fun to some, like a roller coaster ride of some sort. But it is a horrific occurrence and you don't it want to happen to you. It certainly is frightening to know that your slow pedal isn't working and you don't have much choice but to bump into something solid. And then hope for the airbags to fill in.
Bottom line, keep your car safe and in the best shape. If your car is giving you more headaches than convenience, it's time to let it go. Sell it to somebody who can fix it to get rid of your worries. Then go ahead and buy a new car.
