Auto design hub in India

Looking back at the Indian car market we know about its tremendous growth. Recently held Auto Expo at Delhi is the perfect example indicating the boom in the Indian car market is that, India is not only ahead of various models and makes but also it is turning into a center for auto designs. To boost up and to create a perfect and unique designs in future, several major auto makers are trying their luck in various engineering and design schools through different contests and projects that will give birth to innovative ideas and designs.
Globally known Italian design Pininfarina that handles designing of the cars like Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, and Jaguar recognized the Indian talents and tied up with the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad to pursue an accomplished auto design activities. Few years from now the company also plans to set up a global design hub in India, where the Indian talents will be recognized and encouraged.
��KC Mahindra Award for Excellence��, a contest held by Mahindra and Mahindra for design was bagged by three creative students. The theme of the contest was based on ��Long Haul Truck Cabin for the year 2015��. According to Arun Jaura, senior vice-president, (R&D and Global Product Development, M&M said that the talents will be appreciated and would consider the new designers for the research teams. Followed by these awards these three students were given a chance to prove themselves by leading car makers like Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo for a six-month internship.
