Traxxas Slash, the ultimate RC truck on the market.

Traxxas' new Slash is a hot tiny race truck, but you don't need to be a racer to enjoy it! It's made on a combination chassis based on the Stampede/Rustler designs, and is very stable, even at speed. The body is Enormous! though the chassis is technically 1/10th scale, the body appears more to be 1/8th scale. It goes away from all other Traxxas trucks in that the wheels are covered, not sticking way out of the wheel wells a la Monster Truck. Non-modded, the Slash is peppy, but I put in one of Traxxas' new Velineon brush-less motor and speed control systems. WOW! Right now it can do wheelies as required, and manageable drifts around corners!
The TQ radio Traxxas includes with the Slash is fine, but if you plan to race this truck, an after market transmitter is best, as it would have the adjustments necessary to tailor the truck to any course circumstance. Spektrum makes an excellent one. I as well recommend a different tire/wheel combo, as the stockers are not a great alternative to run with. I interchanged them with a tire/wheel combo from Pro-line, which are smaller diam wise, but a bit wider than the stock ones, and they simply wake the truck up! Right Away the Slash can go through corners A Lot quicker than before!
Traxxas has outperformed itself with this truck! The Slash is a extraordinary truck to start racing with, because of it's forgiving nature in most areas, and it's wonderful handling. Some judicious application of after market pieces well-defined above, will create it a truck to beat! Don't get amazed if someone come up to you asking about the truck, because the Slash is fantastic unmatched truck!
