Maruti Suzuki Swift:

The great Maruti Suzuki Swift is also ranked first in the premium car segment in a vehicle dependability survey done by JD Power Asia. This ranking ensures the reliability of this car. It is equipped by a box like dashboard that has a capacity to hold multiple CDs. Swift diesel cars gives a better driving comfort and quality as compared to its petrol version. The car runs smoothly even on bumpy roads without giving any jerks to the occupants. Tyres are wide to give better road stability. The car is also featured with striking features like power steering, engine immobilizer, rear power windows, and fog lamps. Anti lock brakes are also there but it comes as add on feature. Regarding the service, nothing can be complemented because Maruti has a wider service network with the best services available across the country.

Fiat Palio:

Palio is another good diesel car that gives an excellent ride quality. The car is priced at a starting range of Rs 3.4 lakh. The diesel variant is a bit costlier but better than the petrol version in terms of performance and effectiveness. Palio also has a good power to cope up well with all the bumps or shocks when driving at high speeds due to excellent suspension. The car has a wide turning radius that sometimes makes difficult for the driver to turn the car with perfection especially during heavy traffic hours. The car is equipped with an airy cabin, dated dashboard, analogue odometer and trip meter. The resale value of the car is very poor.

Tata Indica:

This is one of the best Tata cars that give the highest performance and fuel efficiency. The diesel variant of Tata Indica is cheapest than the diesel variant of Swift and Palio. Tata Indica diesel is available at a price tag ranging between Rs 3.43 lakh and Rs 4.19 lakh. Two variants of the car are equipped with the Dicor engine. These two variants are not outfitted with power windows, ABS or cramped rear passenger seats. Another great advantage of Tata Indica is that it comes with a low maintenance and running cost. The only drawback of this car is the cheap interiors and not-so-easily accessible switches. The car is not comfortable for driving long distances because of an uncomfortable driving seat. Tata Indica is a winning car in India solely because of its high fuel efficiency.
