How much can you spend on a used vehicle? Does that amount include any extra fees that might occur as well as the insurance payments?
If you know what type of SUV you want you can easily research the insurance rates. You can get free quotes online at most insurance companies and you want to check your current company��s quote first. Call your current agent or visit their website to get a quick quote.
If you can afford that quote you can feel free to stick with them or you can check out your many other options. No insurance company is the same as you already know so it is always better to get multiple quotes and decide which one is more reasonable.
Once you know how much you can spend on the insurance and vehicle you can start looking at the SUV��s within your price range. Knowing exactly what type of SUV you want before you even shop for one can save you tons of time.

When you look at an SUV you like there are some things you should do. First you want to check out the body of the vehicle. Is the paint all one color? You should look at this because if the SUV was in an accident or something similar the parts that were repaired would have been painted over. It is quite hard to get the colors to match exactly but sometimes it actually is possible.
Once you are okay with the vehicle��s body condition you should check out the interior. Does everything work the way it should? Be sure to check little things like the lights, turn signals, air vents, etc. These are things not everyone thinks to check because they��re such minor details. However when you go to use them they aren��t minor anymore.
When you have inspected the interior you want to check under the hood. Now you probably aren��t an experienced mechanic so you should have a professional check it out. You might have an experienced friend that could help you out. Ask the dealer or seller if there have ever been any problems with the SUV��s mechanical side.
Once you know all about the car and are satisfied with it you can now purchase it. You��ll want to decide if you will finance through the dealership or another company. You also want to read all the paperwork and be sure you understand it all. Never sign anything you are questionable about especially when you are investing money into it.
