Van and Commercial Vehicle Reviews

by SIMON KILMART

At FleetLine we have extensive experience within the automotive industry. Our reviews will keep you informed of what's new in the industry. Here we look the key Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) which are essential to the fleet market and vital to the businesses that rely on them.

Mercedes Van: Mercedes Sprinter
This is one of the most popular models, with a good reputation and strong resale values. Adaptive ESP (to stabilise the vehicle) and other technology is now fitted as standard which makes the Sprinter a great choice for any driver who does a high mileage. Visit FleetLine for a review of the Mercedes Benz vans.

Volkswagen Van: Volkswagen Crafter
This vehicle replaces the Volkwagen LT and does so with new styling and design. Like the Mercedes Sprinter, it is a strong and reliable model with an excellent engine and commands a good resale value. For offers and reviews about the Volkswagen Crafter, visit FleetLine.

Ford Vans: Ford Transit
Ford's Transit van is one of the original transport vehicles and has become the byword for 'van'. The current Transit has a new cab and engine choices in either front or rear wheel drive which works well for lower mileage driving and town driving. The interior of the van has also been altered to include more comfortable features. This is a good value van and ranges in capacity from 2.6 to 3.5 tonnes. FleetLine offers fantastic deals on Ford Transit leasing.

Citroen Van: Citroen Relay; Peugeot Van: Peugeot Boxer; Fiat Van: Fiat Ducato
Although from different manufacturers, these vans are all essentially the same both in terms of design and under the bonnet. A step up from their predecessors, these vans have more powerful engines, serviced dealer networks and stronger designs. The Peugeot Boxer does well in the resale market due to the strength of its brand. The Citroen Relay also has SmartNav and TrackStar fitted as standard. Find out further information on these vehicles or to view FleetLine Car Leasing.

Vauxhall Van: Vauxhall Movano ; Renault Van: Renault Master; Nissan Van: Nissan Interstar
Again, these three models are the same van with minor interior differences. The Vauxhall Movano is probably the leader in terms of popularity ahead of the Master, both have strong conversions systems which are useful if you wish to convert your LCV to a minibus for example. Nissan may currently not be as well known for their vans as for their cars however they are continually building on their strong 4x4 pick-up pedigree and are worthy of consideration.
