The Beetle rally

Bright January��s Sunday and ��Beetle�� cars rallied all around Bangalore. A unique view that caught all attention. As many as 15 Volkswagen��s Beetle car joined a rally that drove through the busy roads of the Garden City on 20th January 2008.
The Beetle Club, a group of Beetle cult followers from Bangalore in association PCG Group (The first authorized Volkswagen dealer in India) organized the rally in Bangalore on a sunny Sunday.
The Managing Director, Group Sales in India (Volkswagen) and the Managing Director of the PCH Group, flagged off the rally from Royal Orchid on Airport Road. The Two hours rally drove through Trinity Circle, MG Road and places around Airport Road and ended at Royal Orchid. This rally pronounces how the club welcomed Volkswagen to the city. ��This is nothing but a novel way to welcome the Volkswagen to Bangalore with the auto major��s first car �C Beetle �C and to showcase that Volkswagen machines work well even after decades,�� told one of the founding members of the club. The Managing Director, PCH Group, the first authorized dealer of Volkswagen in India, said that the New Beetle have a complete assembled form. Though the price is not yet decided. While talking to national daily, he also informed saying: ��We set up the shop two months ago and have sold nearly 30 ��Passat��, Volkswagen��s sedan.�� The Passat offered more features and safety at a lesser price than other cars in the luxury segment. PCH in Bangalore targets to sell not less that 200 Passat by 2008-end. Volkswagen would bring other models and had already introduced the 225 HP SUV ��Toureg�� in the Indian market. Beetle, popularly known as Bug, is one of the design icons of the last century. It dates back when Adolf Hitler asked designer Ferdinand Porsche to design a Volkswagen (folks�� wagon). The first people��s car in human history.
