Ready to Roll: The 2008 Dodge Sprinter Van

Chrysler LLC has recently released the details and the manufacturers suggested retail price of the 2008 Dodge Sprinter Passenger and Cargo Van models. All models come with a wide array of standard and optional features for the customers to choose from. In addition, 2008 Dodge Sprinter models are also equipped with innovative features exclusive from Chrysler LLC.
In a recent official company press release from Chrysler LLC's Dodge division, Mike Accavitti, Director - Dodge Brand & SRT Marketing and Communications commented: "With the most choices, features, versatility, innovations, class advantages and overall value in the full-size van segment, the 2008 Dodge Sprinter reinvents how business gets done and sets a new commercial standard."
Moreover, Dodge also said that the 2008 Dodge Sprinter offers the best overall value and safety features in the full size van segment. For the 2008 model year, Dodge also offers Chassis Cab styles for the Sprinter.
Customers can choose between the two powertrain packages offered by Dodge - the 3.0-liter V-6 diesel or the 3.5-liter V-6 petrol engine. Both engines are coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The 2008 Dodge Sprinter van will roll out in Dodge dealer showrooms all over the U.S. available in three vehicle lengths including 233, 273, and 289 inches. Two wheelbase measurements are also offered - 144 and 170 inches. Customers can also get the 170 inches extended with a 15-inch longer rear overhang. Three roof heights are available for the 2008 Dodge Sprinter. These include the standard 65 inches, 76 inches high roof, and the 84 inches.
Performance and functional features include best-in- class cargo capacity of up to 600 cubic feet, highest maximum payload of 5,649 lbs, lowest side step-in height of 19.9 inches, greatest interior roof height of up to seven feet, widest rear-door opening of 270 degrees, and cargo loading width of 51 inches.
Other standard features found on all 2008 Dodge Sprinter van models include, integrated wide-angle mirrors, power windows and locks, halogen headlamps, 16-inch wheels, tilt and height-adjustable steering wheel, CD radio, one-touch triple-flash turn signals, and ADAPTIVE Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
Price range of the 2008 Dodge Sprinter model starts at $38,935 for the Dodge Sprinter Chassis Cab, $38,935 for the Dodge Sprinter Passenger Van, and up to $42,560 for the Dodge Sprinter Cargo Van with 170 inches Extended High Roof.
All prices include a $980 destination and handling charge. Watch out for the 2008 Dodge Sprinter when it arrives in U.S. dealerships later this year. Car fans can also upgrade their auto parts (Volvo distributor rotors) while waiting for this model.
