Lexus GS Models in Canada

Toyota's Lexus division is expanding its product lineup in Canada for the GS luxury sedan models. Lexus will offer four model trim variants in the Canadian market including the GS 350, GS 350 AWD, GS 460 and the GS 450h. All of these models are equipped with exclusive features inside and out as well as enhancements from the previous model.
According to a recent Lexus press release, "All 2008 Lexus GS models will receive significant interior and exterior revisions, including an enhanced front fascia showcased by a new front bumper and an aggressive new chrome grille surround. GS models also gain side-view mirror turn signals for additional visibility. GS 350 models will come with new standard 17-inch alloy wheels or new 18-inch alloy wheels as an option."
Yves Gionet, Director of Lexus Canada also commented: "Lexus of Canada has enhanced the entire GS line - including the GS 450h hybrid model - with new standard features and specifications, and even more attractive suggested retail pricing."
Inside, the Lexus GS models comes with significant interior changes like the new brushed-aluminum shift-plate with additional wood trim on the door switch plates. The car's instrument panel and combination meter also comes with redefined styling. In addition, the Lexus GS models are equipped with fuel-filler door release and trunk-release buttons that are located to the dash area. Other interior features found on the Lexus GS models include newly designed leather-trimmed steering wheel, optional wood-and-leather-trim steering wheel, and MP3/iPod/WMA port, just to name the few.
Meanwhile, the Lexus GS 450h has received exclusive upgrades for the Canadian customers. Dubbed as the only hybrid luxury sport sedan, the Lexus GS 450h features heated and ventilated semi-aniline leather trim front seats, blue hybrid designation on the side rocker moldings, aluminum-and-blue enameled rear model designation, Lexus Hybrid Drive engine cover, blue trimmed front and rear "L" logos, blue tint to the headlamps, and VDIM cutoff switch. The Lexus GS 450h will feature the same engine as the Lexus GS 460, but with additional hybrid capability.
Now for the powerful Lexus GS 460, this high performance sedan boasts a 4.6-liter V8 engine that is capable of pumping out 342 horsepower and 339 lb ft of torque. The car comes with new engine technology that includes several powertrain components like the world's first electric motor-driven Variable Valve Timing with intelligence and electronically controlled intake cam (VVT-iE), Lexus fuel pump, and the dual fuel-injection system. The world's first 8-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain package for the GS 460, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 60 in just 5.4 seconds.
