With the constant desires of consumers wanting to reduce their carbon footprint, vehicle rental companies are offering plenty of green options for their customers. Some have green fleets in excess of 35,000 vehicles, and most have integrated the option of hybrid models into their online reservation process. One concern with this growth is that many rental companies are including non-hybrid models into their green options, by virtue of their fuel economy. This is an obvious grab at market share due to the demand for greener options, but some consumers may not get what they expect when they arrive to pick up their vehicle. To help ensure that you get a hybrid upon pickup, you need to confirm that the location you are using has some in their onsite fleet. It is easy to take what they give you after that long flight, but if hybrid technology is what you are looking for, then take that extra step and don��t get stuck with another model in the end. After all, hybrids require the least amount of carbon offsets, and going carbon neutral is what we all are striving for with our vehicles.
