FuelBoost for those Who Are Not Quite Ready to Abandon Fuel
by RON PETRACEK
Many people around the world and in the United States of America see fuel as a fact of life and when the prices rise we just tighten our belts in other aspects of our lives. Well go see a few less movies or well cut out our weekly poker games. We sacrifice because fuel is such a necessity to the way of life we have in the great United States. Unfortunately, the old saying that What goes up must come down is not seeming to be anywhere in the neighborhood of true when it comes to the rising prices of fuel.
While the big business fuel companies are citing record profits the average consumer is sacrificing in order to make ends meet. Unfortunately, at the rate of rising prices and dire predictions in the near future we are running out of things to sacrifice and will soon face the choices of feeding our children or paying to put fuel in our vehicles so that we can make it to work so that we can (in a perfect world) feed our children. What this means is that we simply must find an alternative to the fuels that we have been using over time or we will begin to face some very tough decisions as a people and as a nation.
Other nations are already seeking alternatives. Keep in mind that while the fuel we use in our automobiles is often what is immediately thought of when fuel is mentioned there is so much in the world that goes well beyond travel expenses that rely on fuel of some sort. If there are any doubts, check out the difference when warming a home in winter with electric heat rather than gas. The difference is night and day though there are other alternative sources for heat that work quite well such as wood burning stoves, steam heat, in the Midwest there are even those who use corn cobs to heat their homes in the winter. By seeking alternatives and lessening our dependence upon natural gases and fossil fuels we will eventually either drive the prices of diesel fuel and gasoline down or make the big oil companies obsolete as we find renewable sources of energy to fuel our vehicles and warm our homes.
If you drive a diesel vehicle and are feeling the pinch of the high price of diesel fuel at the pump it is time to check out the options that are available. One option that is receiving wide recognition among consumers is biodiesel. One problem that many consumers have in making the leap to biodiesel is inconsistency in quality from one source to the next as evidenced by Cetane levels and the impact that lower quality biodiesel can have on the efficiency of their vehicles and the maintenance needs. One way to combat this fear is by using a product such as FuelBoost Diesel Additive in conjunction with the biodiesel to raise the cetane level, keep everything running more efficiently, and help keep things burning nice and clean for the long haul.
