My wife and I just had our first child. And I��m man enough to admit that I was more than a little scared about what it all meant for me, my marriage �C and frankly, my lifestyle. And just as I was getting used to the idea of painting my den a soft shade of kumquat (is that even a real color?) and moving my Fantasy Football haven into the basement, my wife sprung on me the fact that we��d also need to rethink our driving situation. In wife speak, this basically meant that I would need to send the convertible I got for college graduation to a ��farm�� to live with my dog that died when I was seven.
Obviously, I wasn��t thrilled, but I could see her point. Unless we wanted to drive with the baby tucked into her car seat and strapped to the hood like a dear (which, of course was NEVER an option), I��d need to find a new car. And so the car search began��
After driving about 20 different cars at dealerships both near and far, we decided to shift gears and shop online �C which is when we landed on the Northeast Wisconsin Buick dealers�� website. And not a moment too soon. (After all, one of the reasons I��ve had the same car since college was to avoid shopping for a car��)
At any rate, with just a few clicks at the keyboard, the Green Bay Buick dealerships �C and all the great deals they had to offer were right at our fingertips. Which meant that we could do all the shopping we needed from home and then just test drive the car at one of the Green Bay Buick dealers. No muss, no fuss.
Of course, we wanted something family-friendly �C and I wanted something that wouldn��t force me to give up my youth �C so after much research, we settled on the Buick Enclave. So there it was�� we��d found our car. And at the Northeast Wisconsin Buick dealers�� website we were able to check the inventory at our local Green Bay Buick dealerships and schedule our test drive. In no time we were driving away in the car that not only made me happy, but gave my wife a newfound glow, too.
Although �C as it turned out �C that glow was probably due more to her pregnancy than the car because that night she went into labor. Thankfully everything went off without a hitch and we were able to bring baby Brighton home in our new Buick just 24 hours later.
Of course, the baby loves her soft kumquat-colored bedroom (and I��m getting used to my basement den��), but frankly I think we both prefer spending time cruising through town waving to the guys at the Green Bay Buick dealers decked out in our Cheesehead hats and on our way to the game. (Yeah�� daddy��s little girl may only be a few months old, but she already seems to have a love for the game.)
