BMW M3 Sedan Heading to Tokyo Motor Show

The 40th Tokyo Motor Show later this October 2007 will be the stage for the world debut of the all new 2008 BMW M3 sedan model. This new model from the German automaker will roll out in spring 2008 equipped with numerous features inside and out. The 2008 BMW M3 will also hit the North American market after the Tokyo Show.
The 2008 BMW M3 sedan comes with a 4.0-liter six-cylinder light-alloy engine under its hood. This engine is the same powertrain component for the BMW M3 Coupe. It is rated to pump out 414 hp at 8,300 rpm and revs up 295 pound feet amount of torque at 3,900 rpm. BMW said this engine offers an increase horsepower output by 15 percent compared to the previous model. The engine also features other powertrain components like the company��s variable double-VANOS camshaft management, a separate throttle butterfly for each cylinder, volume flow-controlled, pendulum-slide cell pump, and a comprehensive electronic management system. All of these components contribute to allow the engine to provide optimum performance, low fuel consumption, and low exhaust emissions. A manual transmission with twin-disc clutch and Variable M Differential Lock completes the powertrain package.
BMW expects to stir the Japanese crowd with the sporty and aggressive exterior features of the all new 2008 BMW M3 Sedan. Like the BMW 525 equipped with quality BMW 525 parts, the M3 Sedan also comes with traditional BMW design cues including the signature double kidney shaped grille, flat headlight units with standard Xenon headlamps, three large air intakes below the grille, fog lamps, power dome in the middle of the aluminum hood, distinctive two front side panels, and pronounced side-sills. On the rear part, the BMW M3 Sedan features discreet lip spoiler, rear bumper that takes up the shape of the air intakes, circular shape straight tailpipes, and standard M-style light-alloy spoked wheels measuring 18 x 8.5 inches with 245/40 low-profile tires at the front and 18 x 9.5 with 265/40 tires at the rear.
The luxurious and comfortable interior offers several Anthracite finish, M car logo in the door sills, dual circular instruments, leather steering wheel with remote control buttons for the audio system, front seats available with backrest-width adjustment, rear seats with folding seatbacks, premium AM/FM/single-disc CD audio system an auxiliary input jack, optional BMW Navigation, SIRIUS satellite radio, HD radio, and a USB-enabled port for control of an Apple iPod or other media players. The 2008 BMW M3 Sedan also comes with a wide array of safety features including belt latch tensioners, belt force limiters, frontal and side airbags in the seat backrests and curtain head airbag.
