Audi A3 Cabrio Ready for the Market

Audi's all-new A3 Cabriolet model recently made its world debut and will be followed by its arrival in dealer showrooms all over the United Kingdom starting in the spring of 2008. Unfortunately, the German automaker did not yet announce the availability of this model in other markets including the United States. Anyway, just check out what this new sporty Audi cabrio model has to offer.
The new Audi A3 Cabriolet will add up to the company's lineup of soft tops that include the Audi A4 and TT models. Like all other Audi models, the new A3 also offers sporty and elegant appearance, comfortable and luxurious interior, and powerful driving performance.
The Audi A3 Cabriolet will roll out in the market equipped with one of the four powertrain variants offered by the German automaker. The Audi A3 Cabriolet comes in two petrol and two TDI engines, each with exclusive characteristics and fuel technologies. Audi said that power output of these engines ranges from 77 kW (105 PS) up to 147 kW (200 PS). The innovative S tronic dual-clutch gearbox will be offered as an available option for customers, powering the front wheel drive configuration of the A3 Cabriolet. In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with a standard responsive electromechanical power steering. This is combined with the advanced four-link rear suspension to provide superior driving handling and dynamics. Customers can choose between ��standard�� suspension or the ��sports�� suspension for this model.
Outside, the new Audi A3 Cabrio comes with a compact folding hood design. The A3 also embodies the design characteristics of other Audi models with the large single-frame grille. The headlights add to the car's striking and distinctive feature. The lights can be supplied with xenon plus lights and dynamic adaptive (steering) light technology. Other exterior highlights of the new Audi A3 Cabriolet include optional daytime running lights, bumper (like Acura bumpers), flat broad design rear lights, striking wheel arches 17-inch alloy wheels, optional 18-inch wheels from quattro GmbH, large heated glass rear window, and 15 exterior paint colours.
Meanwhile, the Audi A3 Cabriolet's interior can be easily recognized with the design cues exclusive to the German automaker. The A3 Cabriolet comes with large four round air vents and side knee cushions on the centre console's struts similar to the Audi TT. Other interior highlights of the new Audi A3 Cabriolet include three-spoke leather sports steering wheel, optional multifunction keys, S tronic transmission features shift paddles, available two navigation systems, electric four-way lumbar support available as an option, and rear seat backs can be split 50:50.
