Achieving Efficiency in Every Component

by GLADY REIGN

Every automobile component is specifically designed to play a special role geared towards efficient vehicle performance and riding comfort. While some parts are integral to performance, others take care of passenger riding ease and safety. These factors are especially stressed on luxury cars, such as Buick. With the upscale market in mind, Buicks researchers, designers, and engineers practice the philosophy of creating high-quality car parts---from the nuts and bolts up to the main engine. Take the Buick door handles for example. While one may not necessarily be concerned with his or her door handles, this is most probably because Buick already took care of it. After all, the carmaker knows that door handles play important roles.

Located on both sides of the Buick car door, Buick door handles are used to get access into and from the car cabin. Interestingly, the exterior and interior door handles play contrasting roles. The one on the outside is pulled to open the car, while the one on the inside is used to release the door latch that will push the door open. Inside the car door, the Buick door handles are joined by a rotor. When one closes the door, one of the teeth gets in close contact with the striker, causing the rotor to turn one tooth. The rotor then engages with the striker to unlock a closed car door, after which the rotor rotates to open the car door, allowing car occupants to get in, or outside of their Buicks.

Buick door handles perform complex operations. They are to be handled with utmost care. After all, who wants a broken handle? One must prevent any impeding problems to avoid stressful situations. Protecting the door handles with a cover as maintenance measure is not a bad option. Checking the efficiency of car doors must be done once a year. Professional help is needed once a problem is detected.

Total automotive efficiency does not only rely on its engine. Jumpstarting the car, in the first place, is impossible without a handle that makes access into the car possible.
