If the available rotary motors do not provide sufficient speed and acceleration, with 1FN linear motors and the SIMODRIVE 611 with digital control we provide a linear drive system specially adapted to the requirements of machine tools.

Fig.70 below shows a new development of an induction motor suitable for various applications including explosion protection, oil & gas, chemical, paper and steel industry, with details given below.

H-compact - The basic concept: The increasing significance of power saving, environmental requirements, the desire for smaller dimensions and stipulations imposed by national and international markets led to the ongoing development of the H-compact series, which has proven itself over the years. H-compact motors are used in the widest range of industrial sectors, such as oil & gas, chemical, paper and steel. Here, they drive compressors, fans and blowers, refiners, mills and air-separation compressors. H-compact is available in versions, which can be directly connected to the line supply and can be connected to drive converters. H-compact is also available in an explosion-protected design. The innovative technology of H-compact motors has set new standards for high-voltage motors.

H-compact PLUS: Highest output, reliability, efficiency and modular cooling design: The H-compact three-phase high-voltage motors are, in their class, unique - and that worldwide.

This is new for modular motors up to approx. 5 MW: The motor enclosure and the bearing brackets are made from a high-quality cast iron. This means that the H-compact PLUS is not only highly loadable, but they are also really compact, e.g. for refiners, mills, pumps or compressors. H-compact PLUS is available in shaft heights of 450 mm, 500 mm or 560 mm - with degree of protection IP55 or IP23 - water- or air-cooled. The advantages: All of the modules are perfectly harmonized with one another; it is easy to change from air- to water-cooling. This means, you have precisely the power you require at your fingertips: H-compact PLUS is at home in any industrial sector, whether in the basic materials industry, chemical-, water treatment-, cement plants or in the process industry.

The complete EPACT-compliant motor series with IEC dimensions is designed according to the NEMA MG1 electrical standard and is meanwhile an established feature of the Siemens product range. EPACT motors that conform electrically and mechanically to NEMA can also be supplied by our NAFTA motor works.
