Classic and Vintage cars require extra care and attention. To keep the exterior finish of your collector looking its best, use the following tips from the ��Car Classic Series��. If you plan on storing the vehicle for a few months or a few years, by properly preparing the outside of the car you can avoid costly damage due to corrosion or rust.

Thoroughly clean the exterior of your car. Always wash your car out of direct sunlight. ��Clean wheel wells. You must remove all dirt from the car. Mud left on the car can trap moisture and lead to oxidation of chrome and metal parts. Wash your car from the top down, paying close attention to the lower six inches of the vehicle. This area takes the most abuse from everyday use. Do not use a High Pressure Sprayer; the force of the sprayer will only cause further damage to imperfections in the finish. Use a high quality car soap that is formulated for an automotive finish. Dish soap contains substances that can strip the wax off of your car. Repair any paint chips. We suggest you purchase a paint chip repair kit, complete with and eliminator brush, small paintbrush, several types of sandpaper and a sealant to cover the repaired paint chip. Follow the directions inside the repair kit.

Wax your vehicle. For best results wax the car inside a garage. This will be out of direct sunlight and protect the finish from dust. Make sure all dust is removed with a clean cotton dust mop prior to waxing

Don��t forge the Wheels, Hubcaps, Chrome pieces, Door edges and Door posts.

Let the wax dry and remove with a low lint material. Make sure the material you select will not leave a residue on the finish.

Clean all Chrome and Nickel strips. Dirt or residues left behind can quickly oxidize and cause rust.

To safeguard from rodent or pest damage we recommend a high frequency emitting devise. We discourage the use of chemical, since they can cause odors, and be harmful to children and pets.
