2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin Ready for SEMA

Ford Motor Company is adding up new product to its lineup of powerful pickup truck models with the introduction of the 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin. The vehicle is poised to stir the crowd at the upcoming 2007 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show. According to Ford, the 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin combines functionality and utility.
According to Ryan Mitton, Sport Trac marketing manager: ��The new Sport Trac Adrenalin is designed to appeal to the urban adventurer. It still offers up the functionality and capability that Sport Trac is known for, while boosting the style factor.��
The Sport Trac Adrenalin was first unveiled at the 2005 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) as a concept model. The concept's designer, Melvin Betancourt finally switched his design into a production model and ready for the market. Ford said the 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin features the combined design cues of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and pick up truck.
The sleek exterior styling offers a bold and aggressive stance similar to all other Ford pick up models. The 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin comes with lowered new front and rear fascias as well as full running boards integrated into the body design. Other notable exterior features found on the 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin include rubber step pads, striking graphic stripe, circular fog lamps in matte black binnacles mounted in the front fascia, prominent gloss black grille with a unique crosshatch pattern. Looking at the vehicle in side view, it offers a smooth surfaces and new front and rear fenders. Front fender vents are also included. At the rear portion of the 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin, some highlights include cutout for the dual-tipped exhaust, new tailgate with a distinctive Adrenalin badge, and body-colored mirror caps. A 10-spoke polished aluminum 20-inch wheels wrapped with P255/50 R 20 Pirelli tires completes the overall exterior appeal.
Melvin Betancourt further explained the exterior of the 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin: ��The goal was to keep the overall design intact, right down to the wheels. We had to make some minor adjustments as we went through the production process, but overall it��s been altered very little from the original concept. The new body panels give the Sport Trac the appearance of being lower �C without actually lowering the vehicle. You get a street cruiser look without compromising any of the functionality or capability. Graphically, the new grille gives you a bigger opening that adds to Adrenalin��s sinister look. The crosshatch insert serves to visually set it apart from other Sport Tracs, giving the Adrenalin its own personality.��
Inside, interior comes with monochromatic ambient with the Charcoal Black color scheme accented by a stone gray headliner. Other design cues on the interior include custom floor mats with the Adrenalin logo, and upholstered or premium leather-trimmed seats.
After the vehicle's presentation at the SEMA Show, the 2008 Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin will roll out in Ford dealerships early in 2008 and will carry a base manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $30,495. Ford offers 4x2 and all wheel drive configuration for this model. Watch out for other models (like Saab models with Saab radiator fan) at the 2007 SEMA Show.
