101 BMWs for Dubai Police

The Arabian Gulf Mechanical Centre (AGMC) is currently the exclusive importer of BMW, BMW Alpina, MINI and Rolls Royce in Dubai, Sharijah and the Northern Emirates. With the support of BMW Group Middle East, AGMC has recently delivered the first batch of a total of 101 BMW 5 Series vehicles for the Dubai Police, which will be used for law enforcement purposes.
According to the recent deal, AGMC and BMW will both be in support for the Dubai government and Dubai Police. An additional 52 BMW vehicles in 2006 was provided by the automaker to the Dubai Protocol and Guest House department.
Stathis I Stathis, General Manager of AGMC, said, ��AGMC has had a long and fruitful association with the Dubai Police, culminating in the delivery of 101 BMS 5 Series vehicles 2008 model year, to be used as police patrol vehicles.��

AGMC��s partnership with the Dubai government��s and Dubai Police��s public awareness campaigns highlights the automaker��s focus on providing quality vehicles, as they are supported by the ��Zayed International Prize for the Environment��. Such campaign holds in a goal to recognize as well as promote major pioneering contributions in the fields of environment and sustainable development, following the development philosophy and vision of the late President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The collaboration with Dubai Police has been a considerably long-term relationship, since it started several decades ago. It is not exclusive to cars alone, but with services as well, like BMW Assist provided in each vehicle, permitting emergency calls to be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, which eventually allows the reduction of response times.
The said BMW Assist is considered classified among the latest technological advancements from BMW. It is in fact the next generation of telematic services that enables the police department to be provided with easy vehicle tracking and locating capabilities.
The emergency call function provides automatic vehicle location as accidents happen. This has been made possible through a signal or call that is directly delivered to the Dubai Police headquarters. This technology has been developed by BMW which makes it a point to create efficient BMW clear light and other quality parts to provide their customers the best in the industry.
